Photodiode arrays
X-Ray photodiode arrays consist of multiple elements Si photodiodes of the same size, formed in a linear arrangement at an equal spacing in one package. These photodiode arrays are used to generate an X-ray image by scanning an object line by line. The X-rays are converted into light through the attached scintillator crystal. The light intensity is then measured by the photodiodes. These detectors are widely used in medicine and non-destructive inspection.
Photodiode CMOS sensors
Photodiode CMOS sensors have large-area image sensor with fully integrated CMOS photodiode array designed for both visible and high-energy radiation imaging. The large active area consists of matrix of silicon photodiodes. It can be used directly to detect visible light, or with a scintillator to detect x-rays and other energetic radiation. These sensors are the perfect solution for applications ranging from medical diagnostics to industrial inspection (NDT) and scientific imaging.
X-Ray Scan systems
X-Ray Scan systems are full-equipped X-Ray imaging modules Food, Pharmaceutical and Industrial Inspection applications. The operating principle of scan system is based on obtaining two-dimensional x-ray images through line-by-line scanning by narrow x-ray beam. Exceptionally low dark image noise coupled with wide dynamic range provides excellent image quality and detection capability for the most demanding applications.
Flat Detectors
Flat X-ray detectors are high-performance, high-resolution x-ray imaging devices designed for high speed digital radiography applications. Each model combines x-ray sensor modules with appropriate readout electronics and a digital interface for easy connection to a PC. The high-speed digital connection allows real-time imaging, while the state-of-the-art CMOS technology offers superb contrast, dynamic range and resolution.
Position-sensitive detectors
Medipix, Timepix series detectors are hybrid detectors. This means that a semi-conductor sensor layer is bonded on to an electronics layer. The sensor layer is a semiconductor, such as silicon, GaAs, or CdTe in which the incident radiation makes an electron/hole cloud. The charge is then collected to pixel electrodes and via bump bonds conducted to the CMOS electronics layer. The pixel electronics first amplifies the signal and then compares the signal amplitude with a pre-set discrimination level (an energy threshold). The subsequent signal processing depends on type of the device.
